Hello everyone,

I'm considering adding a second feeder to my pond and was looking at the Texas Hunter hanging feeder. Can anyone give me any info on this feeder? What is the throw radius with the panels removed? I am thinking about attaching it to a post by the dock. How high above the water should it hang? Any other info or suggestions are welcomed.

Thanks,

Dean

I've got one, but have never put it in active service. Nice little well constructed feeder, but the corn slinger on it works best if you could remove 3 of the bottom plates and get a 270 degree broadcast. If you leave all the plates on, the food will drop straight down. Take them all off, and it throws a full 360. The feeder placement determines how wide a broadcast you get. Each installed plate causes around a quarter of the food to drop straight down, and that was the issue I had. But, if TH had put a 2 stage slinger on it like the the free standing feeders, the price could make this smaller feeder cost prohibitive.
