Fall is on us and my water lilies are being pulled up, any idea what would be eating them so badly? Have LMB, CC and BG thanks!

Turtles seemed to be the culprits at my place.

Agreed...Turtles. I have also read about folks having troubles with muskrats tearing up vegetation too.

The water temp here is 52 degrees and I have not seen any turtles in a few weeks, I think they are in the mud now. Would a CC rip up water lilies?

Beaver also tear up water lilies.

I vote muskrats.

Ducks will pull them up also, especially Mallards but I watched a pair of bluewing teal make short work out of one of my containers with several sprouts about a week ago.

Nutria will eat them also

Another vote for Muskrats. No Nutria in Michigan, water is too cold for turtles to be very active.
