Hello!

Very new to this and wondering what a good site would be for a small (1/2 acre) trout pond on the 175 acre property. Image is attached and I've marked on the flatter part of the property that there is a small seasonal spring. White area is where the farmhouse is. If a pond could be created closer to the house that would be better. Not too optimistic as you can see the property is quite sloped. High clay content in soil.

It may help if the topo lines had markings on them to tell us the elevation.....

I thought the best location is on the north side where the two branches meet. Might be a bit bigger than 1/2 acre there. I suppose you could dig out in the area around the seasonal spring. What about the branches in the draw I've already mentioned. Do they run continuously from springs?
