I updated this in the wrong section so reposting.

Had some trouble with the pond we put in so we lined it with a couple feet of clay and it seems to be holding pretty good. 1.5 acres and 14 ft deep.

About a foot away from drain pipe.

View from the house

Looking towards my house. Wife is on far right.

Close up for scale

Spring is running good.

It looks good! What will you have swimming around in it?

Per the recommendation CJBS2003 gave me awhile back:

Trout(any of the 5 varieties I mentioned) - Brown and rainbow
walleye(WE)
hybrid striped bass(HBS)
smallmouth bass(SMB)
yellow perch(YP)
pumpkinseed sunfish(PS) - unsure of source
golden shiners(GSH)
fathead minnows(FHM)
banded killifish(BKF) - unsure of source

Beautiful BOW - beautiful setting, beautiful dwelling, beautiful fishery plan! What's the stocking schedule looking like?

PS: Tell us about the solar panel...how much does it help?

That stocking strategy will be interesting to see a couple of years down the road.

PS are available from a fish supplier in NY. If I remember I'll dig up the name tomorrow.

The solar is for my house. 820 watts of panels and a 660 amp/hr battery bank. It powers all our electric needs. Of course we have a couple of gas wells on our property which really makes our electrical needs small and we also have a gravity spring that supplies our water. Almost completely off grid except for phone.

I love it, really gives me a goal to shoot for.

Still holding but I have a small seep on the backside. I've noticed it has decreased in volume and is only a very small trickle so hopefully sediment is plugging it up. Might be wishful thinking.

Here's how she looks right now.

You know....

That reminds me of a story....

Who am I kidding, there is nothing I can add here that won't get me banned.

lol

I'm guessing you had a similar experience and it didn't work out too well?

The pond looks great, and I can't remember the last time I saw green grass.
Time to get some adult forage minnows stocked.
