I'm going to add a couple of things here to help understand what Ron has going on, hopefully he will keep us all posted on progress because I believe he and his ponds have more potential to produce true northern genetic SMB than anything I've seen yet.
Hopefully you're OK with this Ron!
I recently made a 17.5hr trip to Ron's to get my eyes on his situation-which is very unique in that the pond in which we collected some of the last fry of the year on this trip, I realized I don't think I have ever seen this many SMB nests-and 99% touch each other in most locations.
From the visit, this has become quite a hobby that he's had going on for 15 years-I think it was-so he has sure observed some things that most of us don't get to see to this extent, and Ron has feed trained everything he has so I feel he has a lot to offer here.
He'll fit right in here and I hope we can add plenty of help and recommendations going fwd!

Knobber - Laggis - IMO and historically will be your best chance for dependably getting SMB. Place Order early (July-Aug) for fall pick up.

Hi everybody, thanks to Bob Lusk for connecting me to Kenny. He has been a big help to me. Huge amounts of fish knowledge! Im typing on my phone so bare with me on mispelling etc. With my old eyes. I have had ponds since 1999. Got my first bunch of smallmouth in 2007. I have several ponds and like to Experiment. I am from the dorr area, just a little south of grand rapids. We are now Licensed with the state to sell smallmouth and yellow perch. Currently have a batch of this years fry that are feed trained. About 400 to 500. About 2" long at this time. Last years fry that are 5" to 8". Not sure of the numbers. Maybe 600 to 1000 at a guess they are feed trained. PM me for my phone number if you would like to talk. Like i said really hard for me to type on my phone. Thanks for the welcome.
