I'm hearing that Golden Shiners are edible, and people cook them like they would a Smelt -- Beheaded, gutted, and fried whole. Maybe Shorty will give it a go, and report back. You know, for science.
No! I'm not a big fish eater, let alone shiners. One of my dog likes eating them whole, raw, and and still flopping, she thinks they are great.
