In my search for a FHM source for my recently remodeled and lined .9 acre pond in North Central Texas I came across https://www.stockmypond.com/
Their truck is going to be somewhat near my farm in early May 2026. Unless warned otherwise I intend to buy FHM and CNBG. Any PB members have history with these folks at Stock My Pond?

I recently purchased some fish from a fish truck. I just wanted a few more RES so wasn't too concerned about where I was getting them from. When I met up with the fish truck on Friday, I found out that they had left the hatchery on Monday and this was their last stop before heading back. The fish were alive but very sluggish and not in great shape. If you could find out what order you are in terms of stops, that may help out a bit. It's been a struggle to get my pond stocked in Central Texas so totally understand if that's your only option.

Update on my fish truck experience:
The StockMyPond fish truck was scheduled to stop at the Tractor Supply store in Mineral Wells,Tx at 2:00-3:00 PM Thursday 5/7. It arrived about 15 minutes late. I was the first of six people to be served. The driver stood at ground level and took orders and collected payment while his assistant up on the truck scooped fish into plastic bags and added oxygen. Purchasers had no way of seeing into the fish tanks. Place your order, pay, move to back of truck and assistant hands you bags of fish. Based on this lack of visibility, I opted only to buy 10lbs. of FH minnows at $15/lb. The minnows looked active and healthy and the water was much colder than I expected. I drove an hour to my pond and mixed pond water into the two bags and slowly introduced them to their new home. There were fewer than 25 dead minnows.
My plans going further:
My pond is only about 1/3 filled since the liner was installed. Rain forecast is optimistic for next two weeks. I am fortunate that the North Paluxy river crosses my property and with some effort I can pump water from it into my pond.I also have a windmill that runs continuously to battle evaporation loss.
I plan to focus on FH reproduction and then introduce Hybrid Blue Gill and Green Sun Fish and native Black Bass caught from the river. I intend to be selective and patient. Thanks for reading.

In another post titled DIY Forage Pond Liner, I offered free trimmings left over from my liner project. So far I have had no takers. Based on what I paid for the liner, these pieces represent more than $1300 worth of 30mil BTL liner material. If you have any interest send me a PM.

Just a report, FYI.

I picked up 50 LMB and 50 YP fingerlings from a fish truck visit to our county Soil and Water Conservation District today. They came from a supplier in Shelby County, halfway across Ohio. All the fingerlings looked good upon my receipt of them; I lost one mortality in each batch driving them home 10 miles in rush hour, then transhipping them in a UTV to my ponds.
