New pond is spring fed 2/12 acre 9’ with 175’ dam. Core is 15’ wide 12’ deep and has been compacted. Need to dig out the drain pipe ditch and install drain pipe, riser, and discharge end.
Plan is to dig out 8 feet wide (dozer blade width and roller width).
Pipe material, OD size, depth in the dam to install the through dam pipe?
Thanks for the help!

Get in contact with them. They need to calculate your watershed, run the rainfall and watershed flow calculations for 500 and I believe 1,000 year rain events to see how many gallons of water will flow into the pond. Then they can tell you how big the overflow pipe needs to be, how much freeboard you need (distance from top of overflow pipe to top of dam) and how big your emergency spillway needs to be. I am assuming that office is the closest one to your pond location. Don't forget anti-seep collars and a jumping jack compactor to compact the dirt under and around the drain pipe as it's being installed. Without compacting the soil as it is placed around the pipe, it will leak around the outside of the pipe.
