My 3 month old 1 acre lake in East Texas doesn't have any vegetation or bloom yet. I stocked 500 CNBG and 10 lbs of FHM 2 months ago and set my feeder for 1 second twice a day. Should I cut the feeder back now to once a day for this winter or shut it off completely? I will only get to my lake every 2-3 weeks for an occasional hand feeding and worry they won't get enough to eat.

Ideally, you'd set the timer to feed whatever amount of feed would be eaten in 10 minutes or so.

Up North, we see fish stopping the eating of feed at around 50 degrees water temp.

Depending on your water temps, you may have the benefit of being able to feed year-round.
