Some of you who know me know that we manage our pond/lake pretty much for the Project Healing Waters heroes to come out and enjoy. Monday was their first visit this year and all had a great time. But there is another story to their visit.

About a month ago, our neighbors gave us a gorgeous, rather large chainsaw sculpture of a bald eagle. What better place to put it than on the point of the pond where everyone, evidently including the eagles, can enjoy. Just before the PHW folks arrived, this fella decided he would just give them a little welcoming visit. He didn't hang around long but long enough for the providence to set in.

Jake, I have the same problem with otters. Seem to show up about the same time we stock the trout....lol

The Project Healing Waters have their own insurance policies like most non-profits. In addition, I also have a $2 million dollar liability umbrella for the lake. The premium really isn't that much and in today's litigious climate, everyone would be wise to have one.

Jake, be happy to help anyway I can. I think something universal on the images in the forum is going on. I didn't see images in another thread someone posted in today either.

Years ago, we had a member named Norm Kopecky, IIRC.

He set up his pond to be conducive to handicapped people being able to fish. Really, really God's work he was doing.

His posts are easy to find by searching under members for "Norm Kopecky" but I couldn't easily find the thread that best described his set up.

He was last here in 2008, so who knows where he's at now.
