The funny thing I notice about engineers in bridge building is that they spend hours calculating every detail to the point that it is just strong enough to serve it's purpose then just multiply by 10...just in case.
"Hell for stout" "Good 'nuff" always worked for me... of course "just caulk it" and "can't see it from my house" has worked a few times too
