Just thought I would add something to this thread. I was reading that someone thought it would get mucked up with moss. When I was a kid one of the ponds we fished had something like this in it. It would get mossed up but with a quick pop with the ore the muck would be gone. And man you should see the bait fish hitting the muck. This was not a box but a fence made out of the same type of material.

I love your box idea and thinking of doing the same thing. I also need to put some tubes in the pond for the CC that my neighbor put in the pond.
