Thanks for the link, Cecil. There was some very helpful info there. Here is a link for anyone wanting to find out what their average wind speeds are for their area, http://www.wunderground.com. This should help to figure out if you can reach the minimum average wind speed of 7-9 mph needed to run a wind generator efficiently enough to begin charging batteries. Does anyone have any direct experience with wind generators and care to elaborate on maintenance and longevity?
