It's not that tough to learn, just make sure that when you first start that you have very little brush or other things right behind you when you start, otherwise it could be a long and fustrating day. IMO learning to be proficeint fishing with a baitcaster takes much more time. My first LMB and CC from our pond came on a fly rod back in 1987.
