Well, I'm heading back to good 'ole 'Bama land next week. I plan to seal my little pond with a liner and install a solar pump to slow pump its' water up to the larger pond. But then, a new idea struck me! What if I trenched down to bedrock from the pond and inserted a liner from the bedrock up to the surface? Could underground seepage be turned, just as above ground water might be? See the attached diagram. Had some problems with the drawing but believe the concept is still intack. The heavy dashed line from the pond is where I may insert a liner. The bedrock is probably 4-5' below the soil surface. Does water flow like that beneath the surface? Do you think it's worth the expense and trouble?

SoSauty, I can't help you with your idea, but I have a suggestion regarding posting your email address. It's my understanding that posting your email address on any web page can lead to a lot of spam. There are programs that search web pages and collect anything they recognize as an email address. They're called spambots.

I only implemented my standard ideas. Cored and raised the spillway 8" and put in a 30" 10' X 16' hole. I might put in an underground liner to turn the water in the future.
