We are in a pretty bad drought here. My pond is fed by springs and I never saw it low, right now its 1 foot low and going down daily.
Today I figured take advantage of the low water conditions. I removed several sticks and poles that dont seem to hold any fish, they just get in the way so I took them out.
Looking at the banks I am thinking I would like to make a small beach. Maybe 10 feet, just somplace my dogs could walk into the water.
Does anyone have any tips or advice on making a small beach that will hold up to weeds and things. I was thinking gravel and sand, maybe gravel first then sand on top. Any advice would be very aprieciated.
