i am usin a gast 523 vac.pump spec.sheet doent give max presure what should the presure be i have run about 80ft of 1" pipe to air hose i am still usin soker hose for difuser that will change soon. and if my sray aerator is pullin from nere botom should i still us slow startup on the air pump sys.

You may have to put a control valve in line. In fairly shallow water you will be pumping plenty of air. You may need an air control valve in line. Dont just restrict the flow, divert some of the air off into the atmospere.

http://www.gastmfg.com/pdf/rotvane/23_series.pdfIf in 10 ft. of water, it will supply 4cfm of air. Not sure about a soaker hose, but most round, rubber diffusers work on as little as 1 cfm.

i will be putin in 2 9" disce difusers which may be more then i need but will see. all things in time. i am vinting off some air to keep presure between 10 to 15 psi. but i still need to know about startup .

I've been advised to wait until next spring to start up my system since the summertime is when I'll get the most value, but I'm sure it's entirely different in sunny Florida. I think we may have at least one aeration expert in Florida. Hint, hint.

Slow start up will not do any harm. Always start slow in summer or late summer just in case there is a low oxygen problem in the bottom water. In your case start with 1-3 hrs first day then 2-5 hrs 2nd day, then 6-10 hrs 3rd day. Fourth day 24/7 is okay.
