I didn't think he got it but I was waiting to see how it played out.
Johnson grass is at the top of mankinds screw up list. It was introduced into the US in the 1800 as forage crop. It was draught tolerant etc... It exploded and now millions of dollars are being spent ever year to try and get rid of it.
Take ewest advise, I think it's your best choice in your situation or if your farmer neighbor has a small low center of gravity tractor with a disc harrow you might bribe him into helping out or rent one yourself and plan out a weekends worth of chores so you get your monies worth.
