I have worked on ponds (7 or 8) stocked by the before mentioned fish grower. I have seen no consistancy with stocking rate recommendations. The fish populations were extremely crowded as a result of the stocking. Green sunfish were present in all the ponds. No 2-3 pound hybrids were observed.
one client told me he was advised to stock 1000 bass per acre. His bass (as well as all other fish in the pond) looked bad.
