Hello. After many years of service my generic air compressor is not pumping much air. I have taken it apart and cleaned the cylynder, reeds, and what looks like a teflon piston ring? It is in bad shape and needs to be replaced. Any ideals on where to get one without knowing who made the pump let alone a model #? I bought it from surplus center 4 or 5 years ago for 80$. Maybe I could just make one using the old for a template? Out of what? If I cant get this back up and pumping I guess I need to look for anouther. Any good deals out there at the moment. Thanks Kevin

Actually they used to be know as Burdens Outdoor Outfitters, now they are Burdens Sales Co., aka the Surplus Center. They actually have very reasonable prices on a lot of different things, we have used them for a source of replacement hydraulic cylinders for the tractor at the pond. It's a long story on how both cylinders got bent on the front end loader but it involved placing construction rubble along the pond banks. Also one of the horizontal aerators we have has a new electric motor on it from them too. In both case they were significantly cheaper than their competition here in Lincoln.
