Some mite remember i am buildin an aerator well my new gast got here today so ha know what i will be a doin this weekend.

I do need to ask about the 1/4" hole in the filter can i put the check valve in there or do i relly even need on i am pushin air 130 ft though 1" pipe no chance of water makin it even to the top of my hose.

If your pump is a rotary vane model I suggest you use at least a check valve on the diffuser. The make all plastic check valves to the do not corrode and stick as much as a metal check valve..

Some bubblers have built-in check valves and if you can use one of those that would be very adequate for your application. Then a check valve would not be needed at the pump. Some pondowners want a double check valve, then they also put one at the pump.

well the warehouse sent me a bad pump so the fun has been put off. but on a good note they were very nice and are sendin a replacement with a return lable in the box so i dont have to send this on back first and wait on all that shipin time back and forth. thanks bill this setback will give time for that check valve to get here.
