Seriously, only reservation I would have is if pathogens (especailly viruses) could be passed on from the fish entralls. Feeding fish raw fish products is what spread VHS in Eourope among other pathogens.

I suppose if the maggots naturally sterilized the feed, that would work or some heat treatment at some point?

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.
