Well, the game warden just left. He came out and walked the property with me, and had me sign some papers. He suspects it is the neighbors on four-wheelers. There are trails that stop at my property line, about 25 yards below the dam. It's not a neighbor that I know. But, a friend who is a school bus driver doesn't have much use for the kids who live there.
When the DNR (Dept. of Natural Resources) has officers in the area, they will be driving through my property, and past my pond.
As I told the game warden, I don't really care if they get cited or arrested. I'm hoping that the presence of game wardens on my property a few times a week will be enough of a deterrent.
We've got a very nice elderly couple that live near the entrance to our property. They know everybody in the area, and they keep pretty close tabs on vehicles coming and going in our driveway. The whole neighborhood should soon know that the game warden was here.
