Dave, Beleive it or not it came from a pond that is only 0.18 acres (the smallest I've put a boat in). I have being fertilizing it, but we have never shocked it and the pondowner rarely fishes it since he has other larger ponds. It was very bass heavy, with a bass RW of 78% and 32 bluegill greater than 5 inches and only one intermediate 3-5 inch bream. I shocked only two redear the other was huge also 11.5 inches and 1.3 lbs. I think due to the low abundance of shellcrakcer (due to bass heavy environment) very little competetion exist for food. They occupy a little different niche than bluegill and this is why she was so big. The bluegill were nice also and this is now his favorite pond for flyfishing.

Did not eat the shellcrakcer, although I think he would have filled my up, but keep out 12 stunted bass to achieve slightly better bass growth. Glad you liked the picture. Greg
