So what happened?

I checked the site from work several times today (I work in "Internet Alley" in Northern Virginia, where we've got reasonably fast fiber optic line coming into our department.)

When I checked the forum, I kept getting "database error." It said that the error was only visible to moderators.

Seems to be working pretty good tonight.

Sunday nite was very slow and Monday nite was even worse. I jumped over to a couple other boards and read twice as many posts, answered a few and even posted a couple pictures trying to get thru a couple topics here.

Last nite was back to normal and tonight it's really smokin'.

Hope it's all fixed. I know J.P. is doing his best but most is out of his control.

Mistakes are proof that you are trying.

Catmandoo, I was also getting the same thing all day.

"database error." It said that the error was only visible to moderators.

It seems like (fingers crossed) the forum is back to normal speed AND a normal occupancy rate. Whew!

I'm waiting for J.P. to give us the skinny on what happened yesterday..

We moved to another server with the same company. The speed has kept up long enough now that I think this solution is going to hold us for a while.

Hoorah! Now let's sit back and watch as the overall productivity of the USA work force takes a big nose dive.

It's back to posts coming in too fast to keep up. Stand by for a new max online record.

I fortunately/unfortunately work right near the center of the Internet. On my way to work this morning I saw a flash as I was in my car speeding down the Greenway to my offramp on the superhighway -- only to meet with a 30 minute delay to our parking lot. I believe the flash was the Internet Speed Police. I can only believe they were trying to catch the Pond Boss Forum.

J.P. -- don't mess with success. This is the best it has been since well before the upgrade. I feel like I'm hardwired to the PB forum server.

I have 2 computers; one with dial up and the other with cable. PB now loads in about the same time on each.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Wow...gotta say...really smoking now that I've been away for a while. Hope it's not something I did...and that now it'll slow down again.

Really lovin' the speed again!

Man, Matt!!!!!!!!!

I think you are the problem. While you were away, things were lightning fast.

Now it's a little slower after you came back!

Well....you know you're a keeper.

Welcome back Dwight!

I now believe the "slowness" I experienced earlier was due to my service provider.

It's all grease lightning now.

We suspected as much, even ran some special survey threads while you were gone to avoid any problems. ;\)
