"Fishes of Pennsylvania" - A really neat on-line book with information on the many families of North American fish. I'll bet you haven't heard of all of them (unless you're Bill Cody - then the bet's off).

Many chapters have identification guides; if you're completely lost trying to identify a fish, start with Chapter 3.
