I have a new 2 acre tank that was built in March and filled up shortly thereafter. Tank holds water good and so I put forage fish in May. Water always had what I thought was a nice dark color to it and I could see to a depth of 1-1 1/2 feet at waters edge. But looked at it yesterday and it seemed to have somewhat of a khaki or sandy color. It's located in south central Texas and temps are getting warmer but not unusally hot yet and we continue to have nice rains. Grasses are to waters edge except in dam area. Never been fertilized or anything else. Do I have a problem? Any thoughts? I hadn't looked at tank in about a month so don't know how long been that way. Thanks for any opinions.

It sounds like suspended sand/junk from runoff. Dip up a jar of the stuff and let it sit. More than likely, some or all of it will settle to the bottom.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Your pond has probably been diluted with rain water, and lost a lot of mineral load. As the ponl level drops, and the minerals become more concentrated, it will probably clear up somewhat.
