i was just working yesterday in the garage and getting some lumber out of the rafters when i noticed we had 3 of those little kid pools(2'deep) or so just wondering if i would put an aquarium airator in there and put pond water in and raise FHM in it over the summer then restock the minnows in the pond as forage. my pond is about to be completed finnally. i will stock FHM and BG this summer and CC and LMB this fall but i was wondering if anyone has done anything like this just thought it would be an intrresting thing to do

I think it would. I would put some kind of partial cover over it.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

I've done it and I think they prefer to be under some kind of cover. Mine did. It may not be a big deal.

The fish dealer near me keeps his FHMs in a kiddie pool with a piece of floating styrofoam. The FHMs like to congregate under the foam.
