Welcome to the forum cheyenne. I am a fisheries and wildlife biology major at Arkansas Tech. Here are some links on raising golden shiners that my Aquaculture class used. If you are close to them I would suggest going to thier farm and buying brooders. That would be a lot cheaper. The 250,000 fry are $250 and the brooders are $10 or less per pound. For a half acre pond you would only need 10-15 pounds.
