As we begin to build three small ponds to grow feeders for my larger one I would like some input. I am thinking of having one of the ponds for shiners and let them grow to maturity to turn loose in the big pond to survive and spawn. I understand some will not make it but I would think some will and then help in the food chain. I now supply 50lbs every spring and fall of fatheads and shiners. Has anyone tried this before?
