I read this several times. However, I have to ask what the long term effect will be on the health of those fish.

For example, it is my understanding that a 40% protien feed can cause liver damage in channel cats. Therefore, can they reach their ultimate potential size? No problem for a commercial fish farmer but how about the pond owner.

Will taking a short cut ultimately retard the size of that bass? It would be interesting to continue the study beyond the initial phases.
