Pond Boss Forums INTRO Questions & Observations Floating Island Plants

I recently purchased three ducks for my pond and am in the process of building a floating island for them to reduce the chance of predation. The frame is made out of 4" PVC pipe and its covered in shade cloth. I think the idea came from this forum somewhere. Anyway, I was wondering if any of you have any good ideas for plants that would grow on the shade cloth / in the water.

I tend to go with natural grasses on my floating Island. I take what is in the yard and what is around the area and use them as a starting point. You can add just a touch of Mulch to the top of your shade cloth to start the grass seeds or plants on. To me if you add non native plants on the island it just looks kinda strange. Thats why I went with natural plants.
