I don't know whether it is good news or bad news, but when I started this crazed idea, I drew several more 6-hour circles between major cities. There is a town in Nebraska that is almost exactly six driving hours from Minneapolis, Denver, and Oklahoma City.
The description said something like "The airport in this city is among the emergency landing sites for the NASA Space Shuttle, and the top location located within the non-coastal United States. It becomes the largest city in the mid-West during certain college football rivalry games. The area is also know for a particular strain of large-toothed sunfish that are claimed to be the largest in the world."
Seems like a good place for a conference.
