My pond is surrounded by pasture, and I will often catch handfuls of grasshoppers to toss in the pond to watch them get snapped up by the GSF. They will follow me as I walk around the pond, waiting for the next treat.
They really are bold, I could reach out and scoop one out with a dip net, but they are way to fast.
