I went to check out my neighbors pond progress today
and it doesnt surprise me. The contractor who is digging my neighbors pond is the same one that dug mine. He tried to dig my pond his way and we butted heads. I warned my neighbor about him but he insisted that he knew what he was doing now he has a huge hole in the ground and they just keep digging and digging. I spoke to my neighbor about a month ago(he doesnt live on the property) and was mad because they didnt leave any shallow parts to the pond for the fish to spawn he said they were going to have to build him some shallow spots. Well he still doesnt have any shallow spots. They hit water or spring as my neighbor calls it and said that he wont have to aerate since they hit water. LOL I have tried to guide him from what i have learned on pond boss but he acts like he knows it all. I guess he will just learn from his mistakes he also wants to stock it with white perch(crappie) but thats another thread.
My pond it doing great thanks to pond boss now i have to obsess about someone elses pond. Here are some pics of his hole in the ground.

Wicked if he will not listen tell him to take a look at this forum. That looks like a big problem waiting to get worse.

I tried to tell him about pond boss but hes young and knows everything. The major problem that concerns me is that when the pond overflows there is really no place for the water togo except on others peoples property. I explained to him that he needs to have some drainage for when it does overflow. If it floods my backyard me and him are gonna have some serious problems. I have a little pull at the parish office, i have already had one of his mobile homes condemed(serious hazzard) just to let him knows the boss LOL. I really dont want to get the parish involved on his pond but the permits states there must be proper drainage. We will see what happens i seriously dont think he will ever more out here but who knows. He has 10 acres behind me and i kick myself everday for not buying it when i had the chance. The land is owner financed and i contacted the guy who financed it and let him know if the guy cant pay for it i would gladly buy it from him.

The contractor is selling all the dirt. My neighbor made a deal for him to clear his 10 acres in exchange for the dirt but his property has yet to be cleared. The property has alot of low spots and holds alot of water its gonna be sad when the contractor leaves him holding the bag. I guess he will be asking to borrow my tractor to clean up the mess but that aint gonna happen.
