I sure feel your anxiety. Reading your posts put my stomach in very serious knots.
I've experienced way too many hurricanes and floods. I'll spare all the gory details. I've moved several times in the last 35 years, and each move has put me closer to the clouds.
I now live near the top of a mountain, but I still get real nervous when it storms.
I feared I was going to lose my dam last October. The water in my pond has been above the standpipe ever since. I've made a lot of changes since then, and I've done a lot of maintenance. A new backhoe arrives on Friday for even more changes.
We'll probably endure, but Mother Nature sure has a way of reminding of us who is really in charge.
