After the pond was dug I had 2 1/2 ton of pea gravel delivered. I had them dump it near the edge of the pond. Then I spread it out. I told the wife it was so we could have a place to get in and out of the pond without sinking down in the clay. The whole time I hoped that the fish would find this a nice place to spawn. As I was walking by it today I looked down and noticed many bluegills making spawning beds in the gravel. This made my day. It's very hard to get a picture of them. This is the best one I could get so far. What little wind there is has blown a film over to this part of the pond. I'll try and get better pics later.
