I think that proximity of medical care is a very important point in the mix, and I don't think anyone was suggesting that one should be "scared" to buy a property solely based on the same.
Medical care will be important for anyone who spends time on the land including kids, grandkids, friends etc.
If the proximity of medical care is an important consideration in one's evaluation, then that person should also prepare themselves as much as possible by learning CPR, and basic and/or advanced first aid.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not certified in any of it, but could perform CPR if I had to.
