oh, I just mean that with a pool dip net you can get the ones that would slip thru the minnow trap holes. In my minnow trap I usually get 2" and up. I got some 1cm with a dip net. When they are that small some die with capture and handling but some live. The way I do it, not that it's right, is I position the dip net with mouth facing up and push it into the water following the bottom then scoop up at about 3' of water. Seems to work to get the tiny ones. Skimming the edges works too. Try both ways and put out your minnow trap to ensure success.
