What kind of survival rate should I expect out of my CNBG? The only preditors in the pond are 25 CC. There are also a few snakes, bullfrogs and trutles. I can't forget the every once and a while stop of the heron. Oh, yeah I found coon tracks this weekend to.

CC size? CNBG size/numbers?

Making a WAG, I should think pretty good. CC are not all that effective a predator compared to bass. The heron might take the most, but I don't think losses to it would be too bad. Probably very few fish for him to try and spear, wrt the volume of water.

Theo, The CC were 6 to 8" when we put them in, in January. 25 CC The CNBG were 1 1/2" in January and they are around 4"s now. We put 90 in.

Given the small size of the CC, I really doubt they will have a noticeable impact on CNBG numbers.

I put 300 CNBG in my small pond last spring, along with 200 CC. The catfish have grown like crazy and are doing very well, but it was very rare that we'd catch a bluegill. Then I bought a 4ft by 20ft siene net. Every time I run it through the pond, I can catch 5 to 20 bluegill. They are everywhere!!!!!!! In two hours, we cought over 200 of them.

In my case, they have taken over the pond and are doing very well.

It's not how many ideas you have, but how many you make happen.

3/4 and 4 acre ponds.

eddie, I hope I have the same results as you. I'm sure I will, just have to give them a chance.
