Here's some pics of my pond deck that was finished last night. Sure can see more of what going with the fish at feeding time being over them.

That's a beauty, Tom. All PT? The deck looks to be about 16 or 20' square....nice, big dimensions. Good show!

The deck should provide hours of enjoyment.
Is this the first year you have had blue pickeral rush? Yours looks a lot better than mine that I planted this year.

bureau creek master,

Digging the post holes. Went though three post hole diggers before finding one with enough power to do the job. Seems many many years of having tractors and combines driven over it has a way if compacting the soil.

Brettski,

Yes all PT. It's 16' square

Ryan,

The pickerel is about a month old. Just started to flower.

Tom looks great, I built the same size deck about a year and a half ago. Highly recommend thomsons water seal with the cedar stain, makes the deck look great. Only negative it also makes it very slick when wet for the first month or so until it wears abit.

Great Job Tom. Now all you need is a fishing pole holder to hold your rod and reel while your cooking bluegill fillets on the grill.

Thomsons water seal is great stuff, but I personally like it natural. Once a year I use the power washer on it and it makes it look brand new again. Be careful though you can peel the wood right off.

Fantastic job Tom.

Hey Rocky...
Gimme some details on your Thompson's experience. Did you wait for the wood to season, or lay it on right away? Did you prepare the surface? Was it new work?
Now, and maybe more important....
How long has it been on and how is it wearing?

Rocky

I was thinking of letting the wood age over the summer then seal it this fall. Yes no?

Tom I did let my age before I applied the sealer. When I built mine the wood was very green. The time span you have planned is about the same amount off time I let my age before I applied it. I bought 5 gallons based on what the coverage on the can said. It was way too much. I even put it on much thicker than they say, that is perhaps why mine was a bit slick at first. It is already time to apply again in just a year. But it is easy with a pump sprayer and I still have 2.5 gallons left from the first purchase. Here's and old post you can see the deck and the color. They also have redwood and other colors but my house is cedar so I tried to match it. http://www.pondboss.com/cgi-bin/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=20;t=003404;p=1
