I went out to the pond yesterday evening to replace batteries in the feeders.. The pond is not completely filled but two years old and currently almost two acres, and the deepest point at twenty five feet or so, the pond will reach app 3 acres, it was stocked with 8 hundred CNBG (two different stockings), 100 RES, 100 Crappie, 300 CC, 200 LMB and 100 LBs of FHM, 20 lbs of Golden Shiners. I want a good little fishery with something for all.. Anyways, feeding had been slow at best with many fish participating, just couldn't tell what they were.. The water was dead still and I set the feeders off and hand fed another area and I saw CC who had almost doubled in size blowing the water up, and brim (couldn't tell if it was CNBG, Crappie, or RES) but they were going NUTS feeding.. Also saw many 1000 Minnow fry (I think-may have been Brim) feeding.. Man it was great I finally felt a little relief on my money and time spent in this pond. I didn't do the ideal thing by stocking my predators with my forage prior to Pond Boss knowledge, but all seems to be going well and trying to better the situation by adding more mature CNBG this week but it all seems to be doing well... Thanks for those who helped out...
