I think the fish will like the area around the dock and should use the area as long as no one is stomping around the dock. My only concern was the risk I noted. If you are ok with that then go for it. Just don't put them where people may be jumping off the dock into the water (front side). It would be good if a few went under the dock edge in back. You might want to put a few on the non-boat side of the dock for a bed also. How deep is the water at those locations?

FH and small fish will love that area as will craws , etc. It will be a good area for them to hide. If deep enough the SMB may spawn there. RES should spawn there also.
