Its been awhile since my last post,, I have been catching up on all your posts. Glad to see some of you have full ponds and are doing well. Here in Missouri places all around me have been flooded and we haven't had the rain and I have been worried about my pond. We haven't had much rain this spring, and my pond is as low as it was last fall.
This time last year we were at full pool, if we don't get some rain soon we won't have a pond this fall just a mudd hole.
I guess what will be will be.
Any way I have been trying to catch some of the bigger CC and haven't had much luck. I did catch a nice healthy CC about 3 1/2 lbs. Looked good and fat so I know they are still doing well.
The weather has been rather cool this spring and I think it has the fish changed up. The CC were biting well the other day, then it cooled off and and they went to biting at night. I have left a few poles out all night kinda like a limb line with no luck, well all bad any way LOL. For the last week I have left a baited hook and a bobber, when I check in the morning I have found a broken 8lb line, a broken hook, and a broken 14 lb SpiderWire line, along with a few bare hooks and bent swivels. But I will persist and I "WILL" catch them LOL. I am beginning to beleave we have a monster Cat in there, possibly another Blue. I have thought about putting out a trot line, but what fun is that.. LMAO.
I have seen some nice Bass in there as well, but I'm not much of a Bass fisherwoman and haven't had any luck with them either. I have one LMB I call Banjo Bass cause when it hits the top of the water it has a hollow sound like a strum on a Banjo. I figure it is one of the first 3 we put in there and no tellin' how much it weighs. Should be fun when some one finally hooks 'um.
