You're an independent observer, george. 2 questions: How's he doing? And, how's he doing?

Oh -- MY --- GOODNESS !!!!

George you are brave man to let the Guv. around all those tools. It looks like he just barely survived a knife fight !!

Is he actually tying a fly or is he fixing to go scuba for his missing CC ? :p

Yep, George showed up this morning and introduced me to fly tying. It is a bunch easier when a pro guides your hands. It almost seems stupid proof but I'll find out differently. I'm doing OK. No pain or discomfort of any kind. I fizzle out about 2:00 to 3:00 every day but I guess that is to be expected. You'll notice that until the swelling goes down, I won't have much of an Adams Apple.

That's actually my low mileage clock repair work bench.

Good to see ya up and about, DD1. Are you having any luck using that pose at the mall to pick up chicks?

Glad to see a pic of you Guv!

Brettski, I don't think he'd get any chicks with that pose. A few dudes, yeah, probably.

Anyone see the first (and only) Highlander movie?

"There can be only one" and that's the Guv.

You guys will like this. My wife drug me out to dinner last night at a hole in the wall Mexican food place. We go there often because it really is the best Mex food in Cowtown. It's so authentic that your hubcaps are at risk.

I noticed a couple of young women in there. The type? lets just say that they might qualify as the type that "Love not wisely but often and well". Both had hair that looked like an early technicolor movie. After a few (maybe more than a few) surreptitious glances that I hoped my wife didn't notice, I started wondering if a fly the color(s) of their hair would catch fish. I didn't go ask for a sample.

They were distracting you while their customers decided if they wanted to take your hubcaps , your car or your life (money) when you came out.

The only conclusion I can make is they thought if you survived one throat cutting like that then you were to bad/tough a guy to mess with. ;\)

This pair would have loved anybody that had an extra $10.00.

Sorry for the delayed response...
Immediaely afer posting Dave's picture my PC crashed and burned - maybe a bad omen. ;\)
Had to drive to son's to pick up my laptop and just returned.

Dave is doing great - I planned to visit him last week but schedule didn't permit, so yesterday used a fly tyin' lesson as an excuse.

As the picture shows, they beat him up pretty good, but he's tougher than the doctors.

Who say's you can't each an old dog new tricks - he taught me couple... \:D
