I once caught the same bass within five minutes! I knew it was him due to a peculiar marking on his head.

With domestication (fish from fish farms) we are removing those fish that don't respond well to the stress of handling, crowded conditions etc by natural selection (those that can't handle it die). Is it possible that by doing this we are also removing fish that learn and remember a stressful situation particularly well? Just a thought.
