I wanted to share a find. I was in Academy looking for some small lures and came across these:

I am using a 6# test ultralight and they throw good. This is the first plug that I've used that will catch CCs to 10 lbs!(consistantly). LMG eat them alive. Several 10-11" BGs landed. 1 RES also. The black and "phantom orange" have been tested. I guess they look like a FH? I have NOT caught a HSB yet for a grandslam in the big pond.They were marked clearance $2.88 and I went back today and bought all they had. I can't wait to try the blue, it has an orange belly to match the roseys we put in Tue. evening. Hope others will try and report back.

There are 5 or six stores in San Antonio. I cleaned out 410/Perrin B. location only...so far. I have to leave for Austin in am (davatsa's wedding weekend) but will pick you up some next week.

Grand Lido Negril Jamaica. My wife and I love it and after the pics and stories they choose it also. davatsa and I spent Tue and Wed fishing and watching the show...100 lbs of Overton's roseys being chased in 5a of water. Next time we do this it will be announced and may charge admission...lol It was quite a sight!

I started my wedding day at about 9:30 AM with about ten buddies from college and high school by cracking open a Mickey's Big Mouth and chugging. Because of their shape and unique pull tab system, we treated them like grenades...once opened, you only had 10 seconds to finish.

I'm not saying I advocate that for you, but you do what you have to.

Yes, Rad. The beer was bad. That was another major reason to finish it in 10 seconds.

Thanks for all the encouragement, guys. I definitely found a keeper. She doesn't hunt/fish like me, but she comes from a family who does. Even though they don't participate at my obsessive level, she understands and puts up with it.

Example A) On the way to the wedding festivities in Austin later today, my brother-in-law and I will stop at Cabelas to "browse." This usually takes a few hours. That's my idea of shopping!

I'll try to take some pics in Jamaica and share. I've never been out of the country before, so it should be fun. I suppose if I get some good behavior points I can go out to the ponds when I get back...

Jamaica has some bonefish...not a lot but enough to experience one. Not trying to get you in trouble, but hey you're there might as well try it. Best Wishes!

I have used that same lure many times myself. The "Naturistic Perch" pattern is simply outstanding in my ponds on LMB and especially on larger LMB. I don't recall ever catching a BG on one, but I'll try the other colors you mentioned....maybe they will work better on my BG, but as a LMB lure in a pond, it is one of the best I've tried.

She shared my adventuresome spirit and we traveled all over the U.S. mid-continent and Rocky Mountains before we settled down in a central office location.

She�s my best buddy and can out fish me any day of the week.

davatsa, no real other "true" reasons. That was one long day of drinking and celebrating.

Me and the groomsmen actually tailgated in the parking lot at the location of the ceremony. We were there to greet the guests and offer them a cold Dos Equis Amber.

All of the groomsmen and myself had flasks of Jim Beam Black. This was merely in addition to all of the other drinks. We had about five cases of beer in the limo transporting the bridal party of about 12 people.

My dad had to take my flask away from me later that evening.
