I finally hijacked a medium-sized nefarious catfish tonight, and she came up reciting the Gettysburg address!
Got her on the "reduced for half-price" ripened shrimp I bought last week. Only 23 inches, 5 lbs 0 oz, with a mouth 2-3/4 inches wide. I think she is an off-spring.
Really fat. I'm bleeding her out as I write this. I can't wait to see what is inside -- pictures to follow if anything interesting. (I think she is a she -- I'll know in a few minutes.)
Can't wait for a catfish fry and cornbread tomorrow night!
(Edit -- She was full of eggs. 2 lbs of nice fillets when I got done.)
