ewest: Great info in these links. I like the water injection to swirl the pond water idea, though a turbo-charged diesel powered paddle-wheel would be better. (More Power! ruff ruff ruf.) (: I still want to investigate what aerating just the top 1/2 will cause, and see if I can't keep the lower levels cold(er) for the trout to seek refuge in when things warm up. One thing I did learn, and that is, I am in the ball park with my trout abilities, as like I posted, my highest temps, top to bottom of the pond with 24/7 aeration only got to 71*. With some well water injected and a little finese on aeration, I should be able to keep some trout alive.
