I know when I scuba dive in the lake I am seeing SMB deeper more of the time since the LMB have been in the lake. Kind of fun and scary running into a 25+ inch walleye and or a 38+ inch Northern while scuba diving in there. But when doing so you can see the lake is just loaded and I mean loaded with bait fish and crayfish ...etc
Yes the 1000 island region is absolutly wonderful and you don't get a real chance to appreciate it unless your fishing through all of the islands and deep water. Its crazy going off from an island and dropping off to 100 ft within a few feet off the island and then go over 10 ft and be in a shoal.
